Q. Why will Kenwood Travel save me money?
A. Kenwood Travel work directly with cruise lines, airlines and accommodation partners who provide us with the cruise only price, flight and hotel rates that are used exclusively for creating your luxury holiday. By combining these rates we are able to cut out the middle man and provide a competitive package price.
 
Q. Is my money safe with Kenwood Travel - Do I have financial protection - Can I book with confidence?
A. Did you know that booking cruise, flights and hotels separately often means your holiday is not financially protected? We are members of the Association of British Travel Agents, (ABTA) The International Airline Transport Association (IATA) and most importantly we have an Air Travel Organisers License (ATOL) which completely safeguards your money.

Q. How much deposit do I need to pay?
A. This would be a minimum of £100, unless otherwise stated at the time of booking.

Q. When is the balance due?
A. 10 weeks prior to departure unless otherwise stated.

Q. Do you make a credit card charge?
A. Not on deposit payments. For balances the charge for a credit card would be 2% and for American Express 2.5%. There is no charge for debit cards such as Switch.

Q. Is personal travel insurance included in the cost?
A. No.This can be quoted separately by us or you may arrange your own. It is however essential that insurance is arranged.

Your Cruise

Q. How do I book shore excursions?
A. Most cruise lines have introduced an online facility where you can view and book shore excursions online prior to travel.

Q. When will I receive my tickets and luggage labels?
A. Each cruise line is different, Most companys have introduced E-documents you will be advised when and how you will get your tickets 2-3 weeks prior to travel.

Q. What currency do I take with me?
A. Most cruise liner has a exchange facility on board so you can change small amounts of money, We do advise you purchase currency prior to your cruise to ensure you have plenty of local currency to be used on shore excursions.

Q. How do I pay gratuities and who do I tip?
A. Each cruise liner is Different. Some liners will allow you to pre pay them when you book and the others ask for paymeant the end off  your cruise, Your consulant will be happy to advise you how your liner will do this.

Q. How much are drinks on board?
A. Depends on the cruise you have booked the prices for drinks will be either in US dollars or British sterling; each cruise linner is different and we will be happy to advise you the drink prices.

Q. Can I smoke on board?
A. You can smoke on all cruise liners as there are no entirely smoke-free cruise ships, Most cruise ships are mainley smoke free they do provide areas on the cruise for smokers and most liners will only allow you to smoke on the port side of the ship on certin decks.

Q. Can I book a holiday, which is not featured on your web site?
A. Yes.We are also agents for all of the major tour operators and can tailor make an itinerary to all of our featured destinations.

Q. Do I need a visa?
A. This will depend on your chosen destination and the exact nature of your nationality. If you do not hold a full UK passport please advise your consultant at the time of booking.


Airline Information

Q. Do you use charter or scheduled flights?
A. About 95% of our programme utilises scheduled carriers such as Virgin Atlantic and British Airways. We only use charter flights to Mexico and on rare occasions to the Caribbean.

Q. What is my airline baggage allowance?
A. On scheduled services across the Atlantic the allowance is 1 piece weighing no more than 23 kgs. For all other areas and for charters the allowance is 20 kgs per person. It is very important to check your airline tickets when you receive them, as the baggage allowance for each airline will be stated on them.

Q. Are meals on the aircraft included?
A. Yes airline meals are included in the cost of the holiday.

Q. How much leg room will I have on the flight?
A. On scheduled flights thee is a generous 33" seat pitch. On charter there is a 28" pitch.

Q. Are the flights direct?
A. Nearly 90% of our programme is based on direct non-stop services. In the high seasons, such as Easter and Christmas, we do contract some non direct flights but you will be advised at the time of booking.
